The surprising answer can be found in the form of some rare never-before-seen film footage that was discovered packed away in a dusty broom closet beneath the stage of the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York City.

For a few seasons, this video mockumentary played before the show and detailed how the team of Hamner and Barber came into existence. For the very first time, this actual fictitious film footage is being released to the general public. Also included are some genuine photos and video clips of the two variety artists from earlier in their careers before they formed the Hamner Barber Show in Branson, Missouri.
The two boys playing the parts of young Hamner and Barber are actual brothers from Branson, Missouri… Payton and Ethan Greiner. Of course if magician Dave Hamner and ventriloquist Jim Barber really did meet in 1920 at the age of 10, they’d be over 100 years old today. The truth is, they are both in their early 30′s… YEAH RIGHT!
